After qualifying with primary medical degree (BMedSc, MD) from Arabian Gulf University Medical School, Bahrain in May 1993,Dr AlKhajeh started post-graduate training in Paediatric and Neonatology while working in the Department of Paediatrics and Neonatology in Al Qassimi Hospital, Sharjah. She passed MRCP (United Kingdom) examination in 2001 and holds Membership of Royal College of Paediatric and Child Health (MRCPCH -UK) since 2002
Dr AlKhajeh received further post-graduate training in United Kingdom in Poole General Hospital NHS Trust in Poole, Dorset, England. Furthermore, she completed MSc in Paediatrics Respiratory Medicine in University of Aberdeen, Scotland, United Kingdom spending a year in that institution and mentored by Prof Peter Helms, Professor of Paediatrics and Respiratory Medicine
At present Dr AlKhajeh works as Consultant Pediatrician specialized in Asthma and Allergy in Al Qassimi Women’s And Children’s Hospital, Sharjah where she also holds the position of CEO of the hospital. Dr AlKhajeh is the Assistant Professor of Paediatricsin Sharjah University Medical School and teaches General Paediatrics and Children’s Respiratory problems and Allergy.
